Ultrasonic is non-invasive to the stratum corneum, using sound wave technology, to promote cellular renewal, increased blood circulation, exfoliation, and product penetration. As an already licensed professional, education will be the foundation for success, allowing the licensed professional to be knowledgeable in this modality. Ultrasonic is within the Massachusetts scope of practice for estheticians/cosmetologists. Learn the science behind cavitation and sonophoresis, basic treatment protocols, as well as pairing the ultrasonic up with other modalities when appropriate.
